Welcome Priscilla and Noel Walton would like to warmly welcome you to Lupus Den Country House situated midway between Addo and Kirkwood in the fertile, malaria-free, Sundays River Valley. The working citrus and cattle farm is approximately 45-60 minutes from Port Elizabeth and 30 minutes from the Addo Elephant National Park. Priscilla and Noel, offer elegant accommodation in their gracious homestead, surrounded by lush orange groves. After a day's game viewing, you are invited to relax in their tranquil garden or have a refreshing dip in the pool. You may prefer to take a stroll through the citrus orchards or sip sundowners on the vine-covered patio before sitting down to enjoy dinner by candlelight.
Augustus Walton, who hailed from England`s Lake District, farmed on "Mimosa" in the Paterson district. "Mimosa" is now part of the Addo Elephant Park. One of his 12 children, Mildmay (Noel`s grandfather) purchased the farm "Tregaron" in the Sundays River Valley in 1894. It was subsequently divided between his 3 sons. Noel`s father, Ralph Wolfe Walton chose the name Lupus Den ("the home of the wolf") for his portion. Noel now farms the land together with his elder son, Adrian - the fourth generation to farm on "Lupus Den".
